She's an absolute complete and utter disgrace. Just when I thought she couldn't sink any lower she manages to find a way. I mean, who could top the absurd lie about a pedicure gone wrong? A MTO because she was stressed/tight...and admitting it. Good god it's a fcking joke.

@BenRothenberg
Just confirmed with tournament supervisor: "anxiety" is not an allowed reason for a medical timeout as per Grand Slam rulebook. #ausopen

If they're not going to enforce the rules, they ought to just allow timeouts.

She was honest. So it´s a disgrace to be honest? It was stupid.

I bet the Americans of ESPN have no shame trying to push for a DQ behind the scenes to advance Stephens to the final.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

No.1 needs to do such dirty moves to win. What a good poster girl for WTA.

It's against the rules. And even if it wasn't. It's still disgraceful. Can you honestly tell me with a straight face that taking that MTO was something befitting of a world number one? Like that would take fanboying to a whole new level.

So because she admitting to cheating it's acceptable? Such delusion failed logic. I can't at such messes.

I´d say so too. Whether it is a MTO reason during a tennis match is a different question, but obvisouly she must have cleared it with the umpire/physio.

Vika just can´t help herself being brutally honest. All she needed to do was say it was for the injury at 6-1 2-0, that she tried to play through it, but couldn´t and had to take the MTO eventually.

I'd say the reality is somewhere in between. It was more than stupid (although it certainly was that) but stopped considerably short of a "complete and utter disgrace". I think that the best word to describe it is as an embarrassment (to herself and to the game).

Slap her on the wrists, if necessary hit her with a fine, and move on.

Yes I can. She won, so it benefitted her.

Dear Lord, even Jimmie isn't this delusional. So cheating and embarrassing the WTA and female sport is perfectly acceptable as long as she wins?

Na and her fanbase being nice, the pressed Pova fanbase had to wait 2 hours to finally find something to unleash their frustration on
