Best. Australian. Open. EVER.

Okay, top five.

But the young Americans doing SO well, the older Americans going out fighting, Li Na - Best Performance EVER .... there's no bad outcome to the Stephens-Azarenka match, the Russians showing it really WAS a 'revolution' ..... I don't even mind Errani-Vinci beating Venus and Serena. If you gotta lose, lose to the best.

The ONLY downer was Serena getting hurt. But ..... what twenty-something slam titles, and a LOOOOOONG list of people willing to 'comfort her ...... Serena can focus on winning the French.

I'm LIKING this Aussie open.

Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

Re: Best. Australian. Open. EVER.

The ladies need a long, long final. They haven't sold out either the SFs or the final.
Nobody cares about the first week.

Re: Best. Australian. Open. EVER.

I think it's been awful honestly. So many non competitive matches, very few exciting tight three-setters. Serena was upset, Maria played awful in the SF, Vika had a cakewalk and still struggled. I'm cheering for Na!

Maria Sharapova Na Li Francesca Schiavone Vera Zvonareva Petra Kvitova

Novak Djokovic Roger Federer Tomas Berdych Juan Martin Del Potro Richard Gasquet

I don't know about "ever", but I agree it's pretty damn good.

Not at all. Serena injured, Maria playing abysmal and Vika winning is NID.

The best AO I watched was 2003
