She lets her back and ankle heal, trains, and moves on to the next tournament. What else would a professional athlete do?

I always thought the calendar (and non-calendar) GS expectations of her this year were totally ott, given her recent history of injuries and upsets.

I expect her to come back strong for Wimbledon in particular and she'll be favourite for that, but outside of that very obvious prediction I can't really say much. I'm not a soothsayer.

Is the product you manufacture found in your kitchen?

She first stops sliding on hard courts.

Someone is quietly turning back the clock...to them bulldozer dayz...

Always on the lookout for a great tennis match.

Patrick convinces her to not play doubles in a GS ever again, which she agrees to. As much as she likes to please big sis, she comes to the realization that catching up with Evert/Nav is bigger.

I don't see Venus hanging around the Tour for four more years without snatching a GS Doubles title here and there.

Re: Serious discussion: Where does Serena go from here? -- The Sequel

She goes forward when healthy.

She's already ahead of where she was last year at this point in the season.

To me her 1st goal should be the French. A second French goes a long way to inching her up the GOAT ladder.

Credit to Sloane for finishing Serena off in a situation where many woudln't have, and props to Serena for fighting to the end.

Re: Serious discussion: Where does Serena go from here? -- The Sequel

I expected her to win Wimbledon, maybe RG and one but not two of the HC slams. That can still easily happen. You can be fav for each tournament but it's really hard to win them all as has been proven again.

It'd be wise to quit doubles from here though. There's a limit to what you can do at 31.

Roland Garros Champ

I think Serena should really focus on getting that trophy again.

Ah Douchesanders. Serena needs to just win more of the 3 remaining majors to prove your initial thread wrong, so you should wait at least after Wimbledon or something...before you start gloating.
