Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

In the land of tennis zombies attleast she has a personality.

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

The personality that she is showing now will be non-existent in a year`s time if she keeps up this level. The WTA will strip it from her as they like robots.

No!

We'll have to wait and see if she'll still have 60 % of likes in one year or so. I doubt it.

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

Apparently she's too bland for some or too arrogant!

I'm just too lazy to go to the US Open.

Perpetually under-ranked.

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

Yes, I love her personality. I do love the fact she wasn't sucking up to Serena, even as a Serena fan, I don't like when players throw so much praise on people... it becomes nauseating... like Greta Arn at the AO last year before being slaughtered like a carcass and thrown to the wolves by Serena the next match.

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

I like it for now, but we shall see on down the road.

She will more than likely be labeled by some as arrogant, cocky, ghetto and oh yeah, classless soon enough, but for now, she is a sweetheart.

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

I like her, I don't think she comes across as arrogant, most of the remarks that she makes which are considered to be "smart", are all in good humor. Which is unfortunate that some can't understand that. I feel she is misunderstood to some extent, more than anything.

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

Kind of. I can totally relate to her dry wit, as I have a similar humor, but I think we are seeing a person that has currently only experienced success in her tennis career. If she has a hard couple of tournaments or seasons, we may see a different side of her. I think she is a sweet girl, just a wee, wee bit cocky as many young'ens often are. Oudin got a little cocky after her 1/4 run and pretty good season following, but she's certainly not that way anymore, it seems. Of course, if Sloane continues to kick a_ _, then she'll probably stay pretty confident.

I'm a little nationalistic in that I cheer for all/any Americans.

Re: Do you like Sloane's personality?

She's self-confident and sure of herself, but doesn't disrespect her opponents, doesn't make excuses for losses (from what I've seen), doesn't attempt to cheat, doesn't threaten officials, etc.

She will be a crowd favourite for sure.
