Lisicki appoints Ricardo Sanchez as coach

So shortly after Ricardo splits with Nadia he has found himself a new player. Will he manage to help Sabine reign in her game in the way he managed with Nadia at the end of last year or is he going to get the Wozniacki treatment?

I think this could be good for Sabine!

Good she finally has found herself a good coach. Barthel needs one, too.

Re: Lisicki appoints Ricardo Sanchez as coach

I think its a good move. Nadia won her biggest singles title (Tokyo) and biggest doubles title (YEC) when Sanchez coached her.
Sabine has tremendous power. Needs patience and focus. Sanchez will be reminding her nonstop

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!

Re: Lisicki appoints Ricardo Sanchez as coach

Holyshit. That will be something. But I approve of it. Her father just couldn´t take her game to the next level. Lisicki badly needs a hard hand and a kick in the ass. Maybe some of his attitude and personality will rub off on Lisicki. She needs a little more dog in her.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.

Hmm, this could be a very good thing for Lisicki's game. Just look what he did for Nadia in his short partnership with her

I see only positives here. After her 1st round debacle things can only get better.

I'm looking forward to this. Sanchez was on the right track with Caro until Piotr bullied him away.

Re: Lisicki appoints Ricardo Sanchez as coach

Well she writes new coach in the headline, but also she welcomes Ricardo Sanchez to her team. I hope that means full-time and only coach and not another Daddy/Sanchez time share.
