There were some patches in that second set which you felt that VIP would blow Agatha clean off the court if only she managed to keep her FH under control for 4 or 5 games in a row (she had dismally failed to do so in the first set), but, like always, instead of changing anything in her game Agatha just waited for the storm to pass. VIP's dismal and brainless ROS pretty much cost her the set. Agatha wasn't as aggressive and proactive in trying to keep the ball deep and as far from VIP as possible as she had done in some of their previous matches, but credit to her in at least keeping it low, slicing even into VIP's FH to draw errors.
Spot on. And the reason why Ana can't keep her FH (or serve, or ROS) under control is the reason why she is where she is now, and her past ability to do so is why she had success in 08.
She most certainly has the weapons, but it is how consistently she can use them with success - some of the time, half the time, majority of the time or almost all of the time - that makes all the difference.

Well done, Aga.

No surprise here, Ana has always struggled against Aga.

As you implied in the first sentence, the problem isn't Radwanska or Ivanovic but you.

Great match from Radwanska. I only watched 2 first games but she was very good in these.

I don't like she has to face Na in the QF because I would have liked atleast a SF spot for both.

Official Guardian and Delphinium of the Forbidden Flower Kingdom

Jelena Jankovic - Vera Zvonareva - Zhang Shuai - Duan Ying-Ying - Venus Williams - Petra Kvitova - Zheng Jie - Li Na - Serena Williams - Peng Shuai - Hsieh Su-Wei

Re: AO R4: Radwanska def. Ivanovic 62 64

Ana In the first set her timing was so off. Those few games in the second set were so good, too bad she couldn't keep it up. But still a good tournament, hopefully she can win Pattaya now

Well done to Radwanska, she played smart and she hit an ace on almost every BP in the second set!
