Was yesterday the worst advertisement for women's tennis?

I spent most of last night watching the tennis shaking my head and facepalming.

I love KDK but Petrova was slow, slugish and showed just about zero effort. Kimiko must have thought it was Christmas.

Serena to her credit dealt with her fall well, but Gallovits really? No drop shots, no angles, nothing to even test out Serena's movement and happily took her double bagel with pride. What a complete bint.

Jo Durie laughing her head off at Niculescu's tennis and Simon Reed going on about both players grunt, made a tedious match even worse as those things are glaringly obvious without being pointed out.

Wozniacki winning a 3 set and 18 game match hitting 0 forehand winners, hard to believe though not so hard if you saw Lisicki play. She took brainless bashing to a whole new, low level.

I flicked on a few points of Kvitova to see her looking as unfit as ever. Not to mention Oudin

Yesterday I thought was a complete disaster for women's tennis.

Get over it.

It's a new art form showing people how little we care.

Is this thread the worst advertisement for your glorious return to TF, Samuel?

I have to agree it was "peak WTA prejudice" in some of those matches. But not all.

Wow! That sounded entertaining.
However, the biggest complete disaster for women's tennis is Stacey Allastair, not the players.

Re: Was yesterday the worst advertisement for women's tennis?

Definitely not the best "product" out there but not the worst either. It was the 1st round so I think we have to remember that although the level of women's play has risen over the past few years there is still a big gap between a lot of the top players and the rest of the tour but until we see a 6-0 6-0 Grand slam final scoreline then we can panic.

Re: Was yesterday the worst advertisement for women's tennis?

Definitely not peak level of tennis in WTA....... Can't say that ATP is better ,probably they seem better just because they play best of 5 , what makes some matches more interesting because of more drama in 5th set than in women's 3d set

Then why didn't you just go to bed like any rational person would when something that causes them pain is on the TV?
