The season just started, give her some time to get herself together. Maybe she will never get back to number one or win a slam but even her most fervent detractors will admit that she is capable of playing much better tennis than she has been over the last year and a half.

The only people failing are all the "experts" crawling out of the woodwork atm to confidently predict player X's demise and player Y's rise to stardom on the back of a couple of matches at the start of the season. Caro won 8 out of her last 9 matches at the end of last season, I don't think she's finished quite yet.
Btw, if Caro loves money as much as everybody thinks, why on earth would she quit a job where even the #10 ranked player in the world can pocket more than a cool million a year in prizemoney alone. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
Don't all players do this for the money to some extent? Atleast the lower tier players. Top players make more money than they know what to do with. Yet Maria, Serena and Venus all still play. They aren't playing for money at this point, it's for glory and love of the sport. Once you hit the top 10 you're making bank and at that point you want to win a slam and more titles. This is where Caroline is in her career.
Yes, I think it's possible. If her current trend continues I can see her throwing in the towel, pulling the goalie, having a little leprechaun and being a golf wife. And I've said it before, as crazy as Piotr is, he was smart to help her get all those endorsements while the iron was hot warm so she could fold some bank.
