Regina Federer is at a disadvantage because she's old and slow. But that's chit chat for MTF.

And here you are, a black unicorn.

Haven't the organisers been saying this since 2008?

all seven won with defense......he was simply a better defender than roddick and whoever he played before 2007......nadal the superior defender peaked and out-defended him......

long gone are the days when wimbledon(or any slam for that matter) used to be won with attacking tennis......

I'm quite certain that Federer had more winners than his opponent in each of those matches. Have you ever watched Federer play before?

Maybe that's why Maria withdrew from Brisbane, so she could repaint the AO courts (that slows courts down right? ) before she plays her first match.

yes, plexi was supposed to play quite fast but the first year they said that the new surface needs one year to quicken up.......and it actually played quicker in 2009 and 2010......2011 and 2012 have been almost the same speed but probably because of the best defenders playing at their peak, it looked slow?

when watching others play, i find the surface medium fast with low bounce compared to decoturf 2 at the us open.......

stats often mean bullshit......ever noticed break point conversions in grandslam finals and semis?

why do you think federer has a poor conversion rate against nadal? he just cannot out-defend nadal in clutch situations......whereas he can do that easy against roddick who has far inferior defense......

hitting winners is not a telling stat anymore......i can show you plenty of matches where federer hit over 40 or 50 winners and still lost......

long gone are the days when hitting winners and holding your own serve used to be top priorities......

Re: TENNIS RUMOUR : Australian Open 2013 tennis courts to play a little faster ?

hitting a winner mostly on an easy opening after calculated percentage play is not attacking tennis......fast surfaces don't favour such players......they actually dent the rhythm of such players......

half tf is gonna have a problem with this, its pretty much estabilished that us open courts are fast speed hc and i would have to agree with it

Forever in love with my best friend and true love it girl.

It's because FEDERER'S OFFENSIVE GAME doesn't work against NADAL'S SUPERIOR DEFENSE.
