Totally agree to this. When she is off (her normal state since the UO) her confidence sinks and everything becomes a bother to her.

Re: Australian heat wave.

Sydney is looking at 37 on Tues with around 40-42 out west (I am sure the Sydney International is closer to western Sydney than the CBD)

Queen Vee, Super Rena, Krazy Kuzzie

Re: Australian heat wave.

The heat always favours Sam

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Definitely! It's pretty much always hotter at Olympic Park when compared to the CBD.

Re: Australian heat wave.

Since the best players will be playing on the main courts under the roof with a/c, likely the heat is not going to affect them. However, the lower ranked players are going to have a problem, unless their playing on the main courts.

The top players will get away with the roof on Rod Laver and Hisense... the others...

Sammy does fine in the heat of the sun. It's the heat of home crowd expectations that does her in.

Re: Australian heat wave.

Australian summers are normally hot and most years Melbourne will see a few hot days in the weeks before the Australian Open.

I am incline to think the heat wont have much effect on the top players, it will impact more on players that like long rallies like Caro.

I may be wrong but I recall the venue is out towards Parramatta which is a western suburb.

The old White City club was in the inner southern suburbs, Sydney tends to be more humid than Melbourne
