Re: Brisbane 1R: [Q]Ksenia Pervak def. [8]Caroline Wozniacki 2-6 6-3 7-6(1)

was really happy for pervak! she deserved it more!
Caroline was arguing between points with her father...probably explains the direction of were her tennis is going.

Congrats Ksenia!

She was more proactive during the whole match and played really well in that TB.

Cute interview at the end too.

Wow. Really dogged performance from Ksenia. She basically out-Wozzed Woz in the consistency department, with the added ability to hit winners. I would have bet my house she was going to lose after slipping from 5-3 to 5-5.

I guess it's sort of the same old story for Wozniacki. If the UEs aren't coming she can't do much. But she wasn't playing too badly today, and I suspect her consistency would have won out against most top 100 players.

Caroline might have more power but Radwanska is more willing to dictate play in that matchup.

Seriously, Piotr's "coaching" was beyond embarrassing, I was about to crawl under the carpet because it was so hard to watch. Believe it or not, there's still people out there who worship this guy as the perfect coach for her who she should never leave.

This has to be the most dysfunctional coaching situation in a long time, I really pitty her for not being able to break out of it. This way, her career is heading for the gutter.
His 10 minute rant really sums up this match. She was not happy at all out there. She needs to drop him ASAP.

He basically treats her like an unusually slow 7 year old who is personally disappointing him when she plays poorly. I don't see how this is supposed to help her mental state on court.

Kinda funny when you get hit off the court by Pervak
I agree. I certainly wasn't shocked by the result.

Where to start, well with Wozniacki I guess. When you are being bossed around by Pervak of all people you really need to look at yourself. No conviction to go DTL when the court was open, cant get a cheap point on serve to save her life. Her dad's 7 minute rant at her when Pervak went to the bathroom was embarrassing to women's tennis.

Pervak was pretty rank a lot of the time, but had so much time to move the ball around the court she eventually got a short ball she could actually do something with. Played a great breaker after looking tight trying to serve it out.

It really wasn't; most players will eat her 2nd serve for breakfast, like Caroline was doing for most of the match. It was alright but i wouldn't be surprised to see Ula take her out tomorrow.

Out hit by the 103rd ranked player in the world.

Ksenia should be ranked higher, but still this match just highlighted how damn ordinary Wozniacki is.
