That wasn't easy. Just about as tough as a two setter gets.

But the nice thing is that Monica raised her game at the end of both sets getting the crucial breaks in the penultimate games of each set and consolidating each time with a big hold, in a match where holds were of a very high premium.

Probably Laura Robson next, which will be an entirely different kind of match and challenge for Monica. Honestly don't know what to expect from that one but I'm looking forward to it. Good thing seems to be that Monica is continuing to play with the same focus she showed in the later part of the 2012 season, judging by the manner in which Monica won today.

I don't know how this scoreline can warrant 2 hours worth of a match. Oh wait it's Niculescu

SaiSai

What is its nature? He covets. That is his nature. And how do we begin to covet? We begin by coveting what we see every day.
And don't your eyes seek out the things you want?

I can't trust you anymore

a win is a win, so we just take it and move on, it's hard to start well from first match of the season. keep improving Monica!

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.
