Why is the 1999 USO semi so overrented ? 2000 so under

Why is the 1999 USO semi vetween Venus and Hingis so overrented, while the 2000 USO semi is underrated?

The 2000 USO had three sets as high quality as the last set of the 99 semi. Why is the 99 semi considered a classic, while the 2000 is not?

Who is renting it?

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

I don't feel like that's the case at all.

They should really bring up the rental price if it's so overrented.

I think they were both great matches with players that had contrasting styles, personalities and neither of them wanted to lose to that person on the other side of the net.

I actually hear people talk about the 2000 semi more than the 99 one Maybe it's the people you're around(Hingis fans hold the 99 semi in higher esteem, while the opposite is true for Venus fans )

It's never at the Red Box when I look for it. I wish it would be less rented.

1999 had great rallies throughout all 3 sets played, whereas 2000 picked up in the 2nd when Venus stopped hitting so many errors

Re: Why is the 1999 USO semi so overrented ? 2000 so under

1999 was of better quality imo. Hingis played a brilliant first set and took advantage of Venus' injury in the end including that amazing point in the last game. You could see there was a lot of humidity aswell. Both players were exhausted after the match.

2000 was tighter but I recall there were many errors from both sides: Hingis played more conservative than the previous year and that's what cost her the match. Wimbledon 00 was better, actually.

Yeah.

This thread is a fail. Why can people not spell?!

We have autocorrect you know. What's so difficult about structuring a normal sentence?

It's a new art form showing people how little we care.

To answer the question, cause Hingis choked in 2000

BYEEE

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit.
