Singapore to host YEC 2014?

"While we're here, multiple sources say that Singapore is the likely new home of the year-end championships."

Much better than the other options . Hopefully this means that Singapore will get a regular tournament too .

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizι Cornet

Well i guess it could be worse, just don't know how the crowds are going to be. It's really too bad that Istanbul can't be the permanent host. WTA always ruins a good thing for no reason.

Aren't Singaporeans too busy being emotionless bankers to cheer on tennis?

Makes sense - it'll help strengthen the Asian swing <insert Serena's Rome and Madrid laugh here>.

WTA killed the YEC by moving it out of NY. And then, LA found its footing, and then they moved it again. Dead, dead and more dead.

I have no Idea why they are deciding to move the venue now after the huge success that this tournament has been in Istanbul .

Maybe no one in Istanbul wants to pay that hefty amount to host the YEC?

It's not like they earned a lot from the tickets.

Istanbul has it (mainly) to help their 2020 Olympics bid.
