Re: Mary Pierce as coach now?

great news she's back to the tennis world as helper of young players.

I wish she could work with the young french players, perhaps later

Re: Mary Pierce as coach now?

Does this mean that Peak Pierce is also unbeatable as a coach?

Is she doing it because of money? This girl doesn't seem to be good at all.

Not at all for money. It's just that she lives more and more in Mauritius...She wants to become soon Mauritius citizen. Mary is close to Emmanuelle de Beer's parents. She considers Emmanuelle de Beer like her own daughter, has worked with her for 7 years and asked IMG to support the new team as she also lives in Florida.

Pierce Now Coaching in Mauritius

Former Australian Open and Roland Garros champion Mary Pierce has not played since suffering a horrific knee injury while playing Vera Zvonareva in a late-night match at the Generali Ladies tournament in Linz back in October 2006.

Now residing in Mauritius, she has recently been spending time at the ITF Southern African Training Centre in Pretoria, South Africa, sharing her experiences with the coaches and players at the Center after traveling to the ITF Centre with Emmanuelle de Beer, who finished sixth at the recent African Junior Championships and hails from her new homeland.

Re: Mary Pierce as coach now?

She's coaching on Mauritius? How cool, now Martina, Serena, and herself can all sing karaoke together

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Re: Mary Pierce as coach now?

Am I the only one who thinks she won't be too good as a coach? I never felt that she had a particularly holistic understanding of the game as a whole. She would hit the ball as hard as possible and play her game regardless of what the opponent does.

Waiting for Ana Ivanovic to just retire already .
Justine Henin. Amelie Mauresmo. Francesca Schiavone.
