stupid idea with cancelling bronze medal match... i don't think that either Azarenka or Kirilenko would have wanted to get bronze without a fight.

As for tiebreak , after Fed-Delpo i will agree with it. Schedule is too tight to pla long matches

What's the other way to get a bronze besides both Semi-Finalist Losers???
I think it's stupid
What a way to ruin the integrity of the Olympics
If it is such a problem, make it longer
I do think they should have a WTT Style Olympics Teams event though
Although that would still ruin the integrity

All they need to do every four years is have Cinci and Montreal take turns to be played in the post US Open gap. That´s once every eight years. The post US Open tournament would hardly suffer as Azarenka, Serena, Sharapova didn´t play Montreal anyway, Kerber/Stosur lost early. The 2nd major tournament before the US Open would benefit as most stars would opt to use it as their main preparation. If they did that they could extend the Olympics to a proper 12 day event and have the stars in better form.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

Just move tournaments around to place 3 INTL in some weeks and set 2 weeks out for Olympics. Bronze medal then can be played. Tie break, however, can be considered.

So what happens when a friend or partner holds a different opinion against your favorite?

Don't care about double bronze because really its just a consolation play-off as it is, also as a boxing fan I'm used to this occurrence. 3 set TB sucks.

Noooo, such a bad idea.
Even this year alone, I really liked seeing how much winning bronze meant to a player (aka Vika). It just wouldn't be the same if both semifinalists automatically got medals.

Whatever you do now,
the world still turns.

You forget that the summer Olympics are not always held in the same month. Although the recent 3 OG were in August, Atlanta and Barcelona were in July; Seoul and Sydney were in September. I don't know when will be Rio, but there is no one-size-fits-all scheduling solution.

I like double bronze

MIRJANA LUCIC-BARONI ☢ | SAM STOSUR ☯ | MARTINA HINGIS ♚ | DANIELA HANTUCHOVA ✯ | MADISON KEYS ☢ | OLGA PUCHKOVA ❤

Don’t squander the gold of your days listening to the tedious, trying to improve the hopeless failure, or giving away your life to the ignorant and the vulgar. These are the sickly aims, the false ideals of our age.

Did you just compare me to Wozniacki? - Legend

Nooo! I like the bronze match - makes the semi finals all to play for, and then a really competetive bronze medal match too.
