Does anyone know if Anna Chak will play in Australia early 2013?

I'm thinking her injury exemption thing must have run out by now. She's ranked 227 - would that get her into any quallies?
Aus Open wouldn't be as fun without Anna.

Top 10: Ashleigh Barty, Caroline Garcia, Jamie Hampton, Jelena Jankovic, Agnieszka Radwanska, Lucie Safarova, Maria Sharapova, Karolina Sprem, Sam Stosur, Jarmila Wolfe.

All time favourite: Anna Chakvetadze

News about Anna's plans has been non-existent. Her official website says it's 'undergoing a major redesign'.

My hope is that she's healed up and practising again. And maybe she can get a WC into one of the smaller tournaments. But even without that it would be nice to see her committed to a full schedule and playing ITFs or... anything!

Anna Chakvetadze
Agnieszka Radwanska Vera Zvonareva Laura Robson Donna Vekic Heather Watson Elina Svitolina Melanie Oudin Andrea Petkovic

Didn't she lose to Dokic in literally 47 minutes at the AO this year?

Hope she comes back anyway but I don't expect her to do very well.

She met me at the AO so it wasn't a totally wasted trip for her this year. Dokic aside she showed some reasonable results on the rare occasions she actually made it to a match court in 2012

She got injured again recently so I'm not sure. A rank of 227 would be cutting quailes really close, but I think it might be just good enough if a few players withdraw.

Elena Baltacha. Never forgotten.
