Clijsters retired from tennis after the U.S. Open in August but announced on her website on Monday that she will face her longtime rival in the Kim's Thank You Games at the Antwerp Sports Palace.
The 29-year-old Belgian, a four-time Grand Slam winner, initially retired in 2007 only to make a return to the sport two years later. This time, she insists her retirement is f
It's lovely that Venus agreed to this. I hope this will be streamed. It is nice that her farewell match will be against a long time rival. Losing to Laura was a symbolic changing of the guard but it would have been nice to lose against someone she's had more history with.
Kim does like the term " farewell" over all those years
Regardless, it would be fun to see her play matches against, preferably Kim playing in Hopman cup represent Belgium as it doesn't have a decent female player at top level now. For single matches, I'd like to Kim have rematches with Serena, Vika and Maria before Venus. A match with Aga would be interesting to see whose defense is better at the moment.
Yup, this is approaching comedy levels. What if she ever decides to World Tour Tennis or Grand Slam Legends or other events aimed (or partially aimed) at retired players?
It's just people being snarky. Considering this is the second time she has retired, it's funny to think of an exho as her farewell match. Calm down.
at some comments. Too much stupid guys here this is kinda sad I can understand that some of you have an annoying life and don't find anything to do else than posting crap everywhere but please
Oh shit, she gon beat Venus and then having false hope of reaching the top level again and decides to come back...which only means one thing, Juicetine will follow.
