From year-end number 1 to not even making the Y.E.C...

... simply by underperforming (no retirement or serious injury lay-off). When was the last time that happened?

We're talking about Wozniacki right? She's the top qualifier for Bali after winning Seoul.

I certainly can't. Mauresmo was nearly YE #1 in 2006 though.

Serena - Venus - Jankovic - Li - Watson - Petkovic - Hsieh - Stephens

You can't really blame me for not following her, she is so irrelevant these days.

OK, but do we really need 7465456 threads about this ?
Man, i hoped that at least when Wozniacki will fail into irrelevancy, I won't have to read about her every day. My bad...

I'm alaways right, even when Im wrong...

Jankovic isn't in the YEC either and she's also a year end number 1

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Her peak form will give her TOP6 again. But nothing more than #4.
