Vika had some random losses this year, as did rena so if anything Masha's been exceptionally successful in working her way through draws. I think vika's got a kind of 'novak ora' about her this year, I don't think she'll be as dominant in 2013 but ofc she'll be consistently at the top
Do you make that shit up as you go along to make yourself feel better? The only player outside the top 10 that Vika lost to all year was #13 Cibulkova.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

Sharapova still won more points than Vika by tournaments played.

701 points on average for Maria
619 for Vika.

Maria got screwed for not playing that much.

Let me guess you counted Montreal, Rome and Tokyo.

I guess we won't count her retirement to Paszek then

anyway Patrick345, i wasn't even shutting Vika down in the first place! I was just pointing out (as a masha fan) that she's had a consistent year despite all the hate she's getting for beatdowns from vika/rena

In other words, she's Radwanska or Kerber?

No we donīt count Paszek.

Of course Sharapova had an awesome year. I also wanted to write that Sharapova had the most predictable year ever. She was clearly the #3 player. The two best were too good this year and she was too good for the rest. But then Sharapova fans would be pissed that predictable is a negative word and Radwanska fans would be pissed, because I count her among the rest and she is 1-0 against Sharapova this year. So I didnīt write it.

And this post never happened.

I hope you realise, and I'm pretty sure you do, how ridiculous you sound by saying '4 opportunistic slams.'

i think we all know the quota tbh:

rena beats everyone
vika beats everyone but rena
masha beats everyone but rena and vika

but her no.2 ranking is valid because she's gone deep in nearly every tournament she's played in. rena probably would've been no.2 (or no.1) had she gone further at the FO, but masha being at no.2 is legitimate

1 thing is sure, you will NEVER see me jumping on another player's back just because she happens to be more successful than my previous fave I can assure you that.
