I didn't watch the match against Jankovic but Aga seemed to play better than in any of her matches after Wimbledon?

The match against Kerber should be fun, they produce many enjoyable rallies.

I think Aga played about as well as she could in this matchup. Borz's topspin FH has always given her trouble.

Only defensive players if you notice, she actually became better at defense than Zvonareva, Jankovic and now Woz.
It has more to do with those players slumping and not being as good as they're used to be.
Aga will always get beaten badly by the power hitters, there can't be an argument about this.

Re: Tokyo QF: A. Radwanska def. Wozniacki 6-4, 6-3

If she beats Angie and gets Nadia in the final she actually defend the title

Anyway, really unexpected that Aga would win. Strangely, I thought Woz looked sharper and fresher in their previous matches even if Woz has played lots of matches recently. I thought Karo would grind this match out like she usually does and draw 86876876 errors from Aga. But Aga was very consistent, handled the topspin well and even created plays for herself - something she hasn't done as easily in their previous matches. Very well played by Aga in this match-up this time; hopefully she'll raise her level against Angie.

Supporting useless players before it was cool.

Anyway it doesn't change my point of view, Aga never ever beat big hitters on a consistent basis. Sure she will get some wins here and here but mostly due to their lack of form. Aga is 5-25 against Vika, Maria, Serena and Petra.

Of course I would, I always reply with this pic to this specific argument from a Sharapova fan.

Aga certainly hasn't turned around many of her unsuccessful rivalries, including Kuznetsova, Cetkovska, Azarenka etc. Not all of them are power players though. She barely had any rivalry going with Zvonareva or Jankovic before she started dominating them, so I see no reason to mention them either.

A bit unexpected, but nice surprise. Radwanska after Stosur's and Kerber's wins has chances to defend her title
