Venus can learn from Clijsters & Andy Roddick she's just not good enough anymore.

I know Venus Williams fans don't want to hear the facts but it is time for Venus to retire.

Venus had a great career seven grand slam singles titles but she's thirty two years old she's not going to beat these young women consistently.

Is Venus really happy losing all the time now?

Venus hasn't won a WTA event in over two years.

The consistency is gone from Venus game the consistent power is gone.

The errors are now more common and Venus is now slower. She is too old and too slow to compete with the best in

women's tennis.

Clijsters is quitting she knows it is time to go she's got a child and a family.

Andy Roddick is going to quit after the US OPEN and he's content. Roddick knows he can't compete with Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murrays of the tennis world. He knows he is no longer a contender and he's not happy to just compete he wants to be a contender.

However, Roddick is thirty years old, he's married, he's a multi millionaire and he is waving the white flag.

Venus can learn a lot from Andy Roddick she has nothing to be ashamed she had a great career.

However, Venus is simply too inconsistent to beat the top players and sure Venus can play if she wants to but will she be happy losing?

First round loss for Venus at Wimbledon, now second round loss at the US OPEN. Venus is now ranked in number 46 in the world.

She's never going to win another grand slam in singles she's too inconsistent.

If Venus wants to keep on losing I guess that's her decision, but it is also pathetic when a great champion doesn't know

when to say goodbye.

Can you imagine if Venus decided to announce her retirement this US Open too?

• Maria Sharapova • Dominika Cibulkova • Eugenie Bouchard • Garbine Muguruza •
• Andy Roddick • Mikhail Youzhny • Grigor Dimitrov • Novak Djokovic •

She played top tier tennis in Cincinatti and was just edged out in New York by the world #6......
What Venus needs to do is play more tournaments to get her ranking up so she will have more favourable draws at the slams.
We'll see what she can do next year.

On one hand, she is the most overrated and least talented player of a generation. Retire.

But all these losses drag down her career winning % and h2h records. Keep playing

So let me get this straight, Venus BARELY loses to one of the hottest players on tour right now after coming back from a first set and a half blowout she should hang it up?

Go fuck yourself troll. Venus didn't lose to some random top 50 player. They should have met later in the tournament.

I hope Venus plays a full Asia swing because she WILL be in Top 10 for by Australia.

If she's not going to work on improving her game than she should retire. Physically she looked good, but her serve and her shot selection were abysmal. If she's willing to work out the kinks in her game she could have success for a few more years. But if she's gonna continue in this vain, hoping her old game will magically reappear, then she should retire.

Re: Venus can learn from Clijsters & Andy Roddick she's just not good enough anymore.

This is a public form and I am entitled to my opinion. I see a thirty two year old woman who was once a great champion making a fool of herself on the court.

I think Venus had done great in her career but yes it is time for her to leave the center stage of tennis.

Roddick is going to do it and so is Clijsters they have the sense to know enough is enough.

Roddick and Clijsters have PRIDE they don't just want to compete they want to be the best.

But injuries and time have slowed them down they know they must move on with their lives so should Venus.
