Martha would have never been a succesful model, being 6ft or 1.83 is sometimes too tall, but 6'2''/1.88... just no way. But who knows, Devon Aoki is 5'4 and 1/2'', has a weird face, and she made it to the top

Adriana Sklenarikova 6'1", Jody Kidd 6'2", Anna Hickmann 6'1" , Hana Sokoupova 6"1" , Masha is not 6'5" or something really huge, her height is just the upper limit for models

Please never compare Yuryevna to a model again.
Those Bitches are the ugliest things I've ever seen, virtually every girl on all those Next Top Model shows are boot ugly. The only nice looking models are the major supermodels.
Cause no one cares about them?:lol: Most top models are good looking, in fact most top models are better looking than Martha, their beauty is simply much more unique

Angela Lindvall

Shalom Harlow

Carmen Kass

Caitriona Balfe

Amber Valletta

Just to name a few of my favorites... :p

top models of 90s were definitely the best from the best, sad but it won't happen again.... Nowadays , even so-called supermodels are not a league above Sharapova .... for instance Sasha Pivovarova,Natasha Poly, Eugenia Volodina etc (i speak only about top ranked in the world russian models) are not that really amazingly beautiful . Even Natasha Vodianova is no match to Evangelista/Naomi/Crawford/Turlington. Contemporary top models are with chameleon faces , which with a help of visage/using right angles in photoshoots can be turned into "WOW" beauty.....

Of course there are some exceptions like Lima, Gisele , but they are already mothers and have either no substitution

^ Yeah but we were talking about her chances of having a successful modeling career without tennis; all the modeling that she's done is because of her tennis achievements, well and pretty face obviously.

she was signed by IMG as a model in 2003 before her tennis achievements

I have little clue about fashion models, but I have some clue about photography. Actually I have quite knowledge of it as it's my major hobby. Not fashion or glamour, it's not my strength, but just general knowledge of photography and Photoshop.
The problem with Maria is not her shoulders, which can be easily handled by correct angles, but her face. Yes, her face is kind of OK, I would say, but it's very, very plain and simple. She has no fashion model face. There is no magnet in that face. There are no unique features. No magnetic eyes, everything is very generic and overly simple to the point of boring. I would have a big problem trying to capture something magnetic in her portraits. I can't see an angle where I would be able to find something interesting. Another thing with her face is that it doesn't look developed or matured.
I, as a hobbyist portrait photographer, would not ask her to model for me.
From the top tennis players I actually cannot find any players with photographically interesting faces. If I had to choose a model for my session the only faces I would consider are Serena (I love her eyes), Stosur and Schiavone (not for sexy beauty, but for strength),... ehmmmm,.... I guess that's it.
Actually, in the campaign "Strong is Beautiful" Stosur looked most interesting from the group.

"If you have been wondering if bangs are in style for 2012, the answer is “Absolutely, Yes!” Bangs are an absolute hit this season – just look at all those celebrities with the bold thick bangs! Not that I think that one should follow or copy celebrities style, but to find out if something is trendy, it doesn’t hurt to look at the stars."

From: http://www.chicous.com/fashion-trends-are-bangs-in-style-for-2012/

From the New York Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/07/fashion/bangs-are-back-as-a-popular-hairstyle.html?_r=0

"Celebrity gossip magazines are already calling 2012 the year of the bang, with Beyoncé, Rachel McAdams, Ivanka Trump and Nicole Kidman (who introduced her new fringe at the Cannes Film Festival last month) among the converts. It seems everyone who’s anyone is getting snipped."

Bangs are ALWAYS IN STYLE.

Lena, you must believe me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
