Nice story on Venus and the hotel room redesign.
I wish they would have mentioned her design team, too, but...you can't have everything. She is looking great. The room is sleek but perhaps not warm. The view in one direction is nice. For $3000 a night, I don't want to see hotel room balconies through my window.
As for the latest bit of fussing in the thread.
You know, it would be nice if people would say who are in the photos they post. Sometimes it is difficult to recognize players you only see on the tennis court in tennis clothes--perhaps grungy and sweaty, too--when they are all glammed up. Especially if they are not in the top twenty, who are all seen more frequently in various outfits and circumstances. Why is it so terrible to ask for a photo to be captioned? It seems like common courtesy. Enjoying the thread shouldn't require a test of our ability to recognize players. For example, I have never seen a picture of Brie Whitehead nor seen her play. Therefore, I would never have recognized her. That doesn't mean I have never see her name nor that I'm not tennis fan enough.
Anyway, for everyone's enjoyment, it wouldn't hurt to put the player's name under the photo. Sometimes I am left wondering, which is the player in the photo.
