Re: Bombshell: Roland Garros Going To Beijing

"The Place", one of the most modern shopping malls in Beijing, will be home to an enormous activity area featuring a clay tennis court, two giant screens, a PR zone similar to the famous "Village" in Roland Garros and an entertainment area with a very Parisian flavour.
The atmosphere will be Roland Garros to the core, with fans able to watch tournaments featuring young players from local clubs, exhibition matches with the country's top players and even have tennis lessons of their own. And of course everyone will be able to watch matches live on the big screen as well as highlights from the previous day's action.
This event is being organised with the support of the FFT's partners – Lacoste, Longines and Peugeot – and in conjunction with the CTA. No fewer than 100,000 visitors are expected for this inaugural event.

Why are you such a dumbass?

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wonder are lost. The old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken. The crownless again shall be king

I wouldn't be so harsh on Na-Mug.

Chinese new emerging middle and upper class , with lot of disposable income, and eagerness to be seen in "high' society" places , is thirsty for anything deemed trendy, in European connection, exclusive and especially associated with Paris.

This is a genius marketing move on the part of the Frenh Open

Venus Williams Grand Slam VII
Serena Williams Grand Slam XXI

Nadia Petrova Grand Slam Hope Is Fading

Hmmm... right

Don’t squander the gold of your days listening to the tedious, trying to improve the hopeless failure, or giving away your life to the ignorant and the vulgar. These are the sickly aims, the false ideals of our age.

Did you just compare me to Wozniacki? - Legend
