Nice Article on Vika In Sunday Times:Responds to Aga

There a nice spread on Vika in today's ST, Sports pages.

Vika explains she had stopped enjoying tennis, what her grandmother and country had been through in 2nd World War, and how her Gran helped change her mind. Apparently 90% of buildings were destroyed in the war.

Vika explains she couldn't risk her ankle by playing in Dubai and refuses to get in a cat fight with Aga. When asked about Aga losing respect for her she says she still sees themselves as friends though they have t seen or spoken to each other since the Qatar match.

The accompanying glamour shot of Vika in her bathing costume did make me giggle as its obviously touched up, but it's nice to see a large positive piece on a female tennis player. Vika is becoming quite a star!

Monica Seles Superstar. Her fans never forget.

Players I root for now: Heather, Laura, Lucie, Marion, Serena, Simona, Svetlana, Venus, Vika. And Caroline.
Doubles and Mixed Doubles are fun and underrated.

Is it written by Neil Harman? These two tweet each other all the time.

The whole "I almost quit" story seems a bit overblown. I'm sure all these players thought about it at least once.
Still, nice for Vika to get that exposure. Go get that 10% Meilen!

It's by Barry Flatman. I've no idea who he is!

Yes, it's a nice article about Vika regaining her perspective.

Barry Flatman is a complete crashing bore. If you've ever had the "pleasure" of listening to him commentate, you'll know he can make the most exciting match seem like 48 consecutive hours listening to Travis records while being locked in a dark room.

Everybody has more class than Radwanksa. That's obvious.

Re: Nice Article on Vika In Sunday Times:Responds to Aga

For all its "over exposure" I quite like the Grandmarenka Epiphany Story especially seeing as it was the turning point in Vika's mentality. And it's always nice to hear about a player's family relations especially if said family isn't part of the coaching staff.
Class from her as well from abstaining to comment officially about the whole rift with Aga.

I want to believe what she said isn't fake but her history of classless actions doesn't let me.

You can't say the same about Azarenka's fanbase.

It is a really balanced piece and it's great to have Vika getting such profile in such a newspaper.

Like you I laughed at the photo - I wasn't sure it was Vika at first! And the hair! It's definitely photoshopped. But I love her anyway!

The words "Vika", "has" and "class" do not belong in the same sentence, irrespective of who you are comparing her to.
