London 2012: Paralympic Tennis Venue completed- looks amazing

A brand new complex has been built for the Paralympic Wheelchair Tournament. I have always been against the thought of the Olympics being held at Wimbledon as it wouldn't feel like the Olympics and the winner would've won Wimbledon- not the Olympics. It seems ridiculous that a huge complex with 2 show courts (with capacities of 10,500 and 5000) are being used for just the paralympics.

I do find this new complex exciting though, as it finally gives our country a PERFECT place to hold a WTA or ATP tour event in the future.

Wow, it does.

Donít squander the gold of your days listening to the tedious, trying to improve the hopeless failure, or giving away your life to the ignorant and the vulgar. These are the sickly aims, the false ideals of our age.

It would be nice to see the stadium packed during the tournament.

I think the courts are too big for the paralympics, but I hope I am wrong because it would be very bad for the players to play in an empty stadium.

BTW London already has Wimbledon and the Masters. Why should they get another tournament?

It's not a matter of how many tournaments a country holds, it's a matter of facilities and funding- this would definitely fit the bill. But it was just an idea- i'm not saying it's for certain...

Don't you think they deserve recognition?

Great to see.

Proud fan of mugs, chokers and clowns such as...

It looks very nice, but why aren't they using Wimbledon? I mean they have wheelchair tennis there every year don't they?

No, you were right the first time. It was made just for these tremendous athletes. When the games are over they will burn the facility down.

If my comment suggested they didn't deserve recognition then it was not intended! I just think it's odd how Wimbledon is being used when their is a brand new tennis complex

I don't understand posters like you who simply troll threads just to post smart comments and make other posters look like an idiot. I honestly believe the average age of TF posters is probably around 13 years old due to the immaturity which is shown on this board.

You showed that pretty well with your 'ridiculous' comment. Talk about rudeness, and honestly unintentional rudeness like you displayed shows a lot more ignorance than any of the comments we've left.
