IKR, not only she plays lots of tournaments but also beats your fave in the final of one of them. Must be so depressing.

I don't see why this is such a big deal. JJ played like 28 tournaments in 2007 and finished in the top 5

I don't see what is wrong with playing (more or less)2 events per month. They're not called professional tennis players for nothing

Yes and that's why Maria is two spots ahead of her in the ranking with Aga playing 5 more tournaments. Talk about quantity over quality .

Buzz off.

There is nothing wrong with it and I didn't point out that fact cause of that but I found it surprising and funny at the same time that players like Serena who only played 13 tournaments is ahead of her in the ranking.

I don't know why the WTA don't promote this final leg of the race more!? It's definitely an exciting part of the season. They should have the different scenarios on their website.

Doubles Specialist Јеlena Jankovic
Crowd Favourite Victoria Azarenka
Former Tennis Player Petra Kvitová

2010- YE 4# Serena Williams. Tournaments played 12
YE 14# Agnieska Radwanska. Tournaments played 18 = +6

2009- YE 1# Serena Williams. Tournaments played 17
YE 10 Agnieska Radwanska. Tournaments played 22 = +5

2008- YE 3# Serena Williams. Tournaments played 12
YE 10# Agnieska Radwanska. Tournaments played 23 = +11 .

So, what's your point here? It's not like Serena played more tournaments back then when she was in her twenties Quality over quantity .

And people criticized JJ then too. And Woz a couple years later. Defensive players having packed schedules does not work out.

And that's your reply ? What's with this GIF anyway I've seen Serena and many top players cry during a match but I don't go and make GIFs out of it .

Call me when your precious pusher wins a slam

Well that depends on what "working out" means. If it propels u to slam finals, helps u win lots of titles, and gets u ur all time best ranking you can't really say it didn't work out. Maybe it's not the greatest recipe for longevity but for a short time goal it can pay big dividends.

Who's to say that these players would have achieved what they did if they didn't play all those tournaments, maybe that's their only ticket to that kind of success. A so called 'smarter schedule' may help w.prolonging their careers, but we can't say it would make em' more or less successful- cuz we just don't know.

Some players have their entire careers to win big titles while others have a smaller window. The key is to do what u can to maximize ur time- and what works best for Serena might not be the answer for Radwanska.

only 3 players on the whole tour had better results than her this year, while thousands of others (who often played more events than she did)are behind.quantity AND quality.
