I'll start. It looked kind of dull in the beginning of the
year with alot of AWOL players. The middle got kind
of predictable with only Williams winning titles; but
the ending run turned out to be a thriller. There
were alot of surprises, and upsets along not to justify
the WTA as the Williams Tennis Association tag brought
on by lazy journalists, and commentators.
So, Anna didn't do well this year. Who really cares

to sustain interest IMHO.
The nice surprises were Patty, Chanda, Iva, and
Maggie winning TIER 1's. It was great to see
Amelie finally playing to the ability that we knew
she was capable. The Belgians were out of
favour in the early season;but ended the season
with the upset of the year- a win over Serena

Speaking of Asian tennis. The short lived
comeback of Kimiko Date didn't go according
to plan; but it sure made alot of us go giddy
Jelena vs James Brown? Who is the hardest

I'm looking forward to 2003. Will Lindsay ever
get back to 1998 form? Where's Hingis?
Can Monica do it again for her die hard fans
that were teased with greatness at the WTA
Championships? Is there some sort of
Venus vs Serena family rivalry that we're being kept
out of the loop? Will Jen defy her doomsayers?
And for ESPN/STAR Asia viewers. Will we again in 2003
be tormented with the most idiotic, moronic tennis
commentators ever to walk on the greens at
