At 98 yo, the oldest woman who ends the year as world no.1

Quote:
"I was happy to make it this far. This whole week, I don't think I played very well at all,'' Williams said. ``I feel like I'm 98 years old. Everything is broke and I'm ready to go home. An old lady in a young woman's body." -Serena
She must be the only 98 yo woman who can plays at this level!!

Amazing!!

Lindsay Davenport Andre Agassi

"If something special happened all the time, it wouldn't be so special.'' - Agassi, Wimby 2003.

Poor Serena, she must be exhausted. Get some rest, Serena!

I don't see how she is "exhausted"? But whatever she says is fine a guess.

"Gee, Quinn... I hope that little foray of yours into Geekland just now is the result of heat exhaustion, and not an unpleasant side effect of all that tutoring. I mean, you're not turning into a brain, are you?" -- Sandi

Does anyone remember how lots of people said a couple of years ago that they'd be the absolute best (both venus and serena) if they played a full year but didnt cause theyre so prone to injury. Well now they have done that and look...end of the year and both injured. Maybe something to think about?

Whoop tee do. Martina Navratilova is still playing great at the of 189.

And I also heard that Kim Clijsters is just 4 years old.

What has Serena been doing for the last five weeks?

" The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle "
" When you're not training, someone else is training... TO KICK YOUR ASS! "
" It's not the size of the dog in a fight, but the size of the fight in a dog. "
