LOL

Go Jenny!!!! Keep fighting!!

"I mean, it's something that's always been a part of me. And especially the last few years of my life, I've really had to fight on and off the court. So I just, I don't know, on the tennis court I look at it as a battle I know maybe I'm in control of and where I have the best chance and I can really, you know, dictate what I do out there and what I feel. So, the rest, I think it's just something you just have or you don't have. I mean, I'm certainly not the only one. I mean, there's a lot of great fighters out there, so..."

Better than everyone. Except her sister.

Great start and a Tier I title - then disaster. Solid showings at the Grand Slams making it to the 3rd round in three and the 2nd round in the won she had once one; a horrible carpet season followed the US Open.

ugh, why do they all suck????????

A few excellent wins (Venus, Lindsay, Kim, Daniela, Martina, Justine), a few bad losses (Foretz, Schwartz FC, Raymond), a few spots of bother (Schwartz USO, Montolio, Farina Elia, Martinez, Sanchez-Vicario), a few periods of sustained brilliance (pick your favourite one) - all in all bodes for a pretty consistent and decent year!

Well, as far as Corina goes:
It's a year to be proud of. She fought herself healthy, and came back, and that in itself is amazing. She didn't have a sucessful year in singles, but her doubles shined. She made it to the Quarter-finals of the US Open in Women's Doubles, and the Semi-Finals in Mixed Doubles. Now she's hurt again, and her year has been filled with ups and downs, but I know all of this still hasn't gotten her down. I'm sure she's looking forward to 2003 as a healthy and productive year. Good Luck Corina!

A year that had consistancy in grandslams (1 semi and 3 quarters), that had some great wins like over Venus, Hingis and Davenport, but that unforunately had an injury that caused Monica to miss most of the summer and fall down the rankings just when she was about to take over the no.3 spot.

Good luck Monica in 2003!
