Australian Open Tickets

Who is going next year?
I got my ticket last week - a 5 day ground pass.

Top 10: Ashleigh Barty, Eugenie Bouchard, Caroline Garcia, Jamie Hampton, Jelena Jankovic, Agnieszka Radwanska, Lucie Safarova, Maria Sharapova, Karolina Sprem, Sam Stosur.

All time favourite: Anna Chakvetadze

Re: Australian Open Tickets

I was going to but I don't want to spend that much and see Federer or Novak demolish some loser on RLA. So I'll just ground pass everyday until there is something worth wile on RLA or Hisense then I'll take my chances on the internet.

Ground pass in the first week is the best thing ever. Great atmosphere, heaps of tennis and you can get a nice tan HAHA.

I haven't been to Rod Laver Arena since 2004. Your right the matches there the first 4 or 5 days aren usually very one sided. I love watching a mix of players on the outside courts and the other show courts.

I'll be there for the first week

I'll be there the first week, got hisense first 4 days and I'll buy tickets for the rest of the week the day before don't want to waste money on crappy Rod Laver matches better to wait and see who's playing.

Re: Australian Open Tickets

I was going to, but then I have summer school now Hopefully in 2013 I guess. Might save up for Wimbledon or OG so I can watch multiple sports in 2012 as well but we'll see.

Re: Australian Open Tickets

Also going, 5 day ground pass for the first week. Don't know about the availability of tickets the day before, but might go and see some other matches. I'm very excited, I've heard that the atmosphere is one of the most amazing things ever plus the weather will most likely be nice

You can normally get tickets for any session in the first week. Might not be the best seats but there is always something available, unless there is an aussie playing a big match. They will usually put them on in the evening though.

Re: Australian Open Tickets

5 day ground pass every year. Easily the best valued ticket.

Hopefully they dont remove access to MCA with a groundpass when the redevelopment is done.

Yeah, that would suck!

Got a 4-day Hisense pass cause Hisense was mean fun last year, and then got a couple of grounds passes coming with those AO memberships. Hello summer tan.

Re: Australian Open Tickets

I bought RLA tickets for both Day and Night sessions for the first four days...all just to see Roger Federer, AND to ensure that I get decent seats to see him (I bought my tickets through Keith Prowse).

Is it going to be very hot? I'm from Singapore so I'm more than used to the hot weather but it's more humid here than anything. What's it like in Melbourne during the AO?

Re: Australian Open Tickets

I have tickets for RLA on the second Monday + Tuesday. Wondering if I should also get the first weekend ground pass tickets as well. Is it good value?
