I've never seen Tatiana play with such confidence. Every ball looked on for a winner and she hit plenty. Definitely Golovin at her very best. Unfortunately, Henin came back to win the next two pretty comfortably. Sorry about the music by the way. In no way do I see how it fits in with the clip!
Jie Zheng: Set 2 vs. Serena Williams, Wimbledon Semi-Final 2008, lost (5)6-7
It seems strange to choose a set that she lost (especially when she's won sets vs Serena before), but I think a lot of people expected Zheng to be killed in that semi-final, and the first set looked like this would come true. Zheng only hit 3 errors but still lost 2-6. However, even with Serena on top form and serving unbelievably well, Zheng grew in confidence, taking returns ridiculously early and even earning a set point at 6-5 40-30*. She got a second serve and for a moment it seemed meant to be, but the return painfully clipped the top of the net. That, along with the double fault on match point were a real shame, but it doesn't take away from the incredible high quality of the set!
The first set of Venus-Kimiko in Wimbledon this year. Best tennis I've seen Kimiko played and high quality set.

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
