Why does Jen.....?

Why does Jennifer Capriati assume the retriever role when playing the Williams sisters? In the match against Serena, she was the one playing defense through out most of the match. This is in total contrast to how she plays any other player. The fact that Jen plays defense-retrieving style of tennis is shown the amount of unforced errors The reason Serena's errors are so high against Jennifer is because she is the one dictating the points.

I am not conceited, I am just convinced

I think she has such great respect for Serena's power and depth. Note also that all the other players, including Venus, become retrievers against Serena.

from the match I saw they were both playing defense very well. jen made some fantastic shots and angles and so did serena. the difference is serena made more of them. also serena please clean up your errors! sheesh! its so nerve wracking watching you!
