Yes it became true. Congrats to all three of them!

One thing. When they started or even before they started I remember that reporters said during tennis broadcasts that Richard (and others) predicted they would be no. 1 and 2 and playing in (all) the Slam finals in two years. I hope that I got it right. I think that it took a little bit longer... But let's not be too critical

Monica announced her official retirement on February 14, 2008. What a sad day! I'm proud to be a Selestial and I admire Monica for her fighting spirit and her character.
The tennis world has lost one of the greatest players of all time! Have a wonderful post-tennis life!

Arantxa, you will always be in my heart. Thanks for all the great matches you gave us and for just being a wonderful person on and off court.
All the best for your future!

they avoided the grand slams and focused on school and family and religion so it was impossible they found out to be the best playing part time.

What's with the focus on religion bit?
What about them suggests they focus on religion?
Certainly not their dress or demeanour on or off court.
I am not suggesting that they should but rather that they don't appear to me to do so.

I'm not going to get into a disussion about religion since this is a tennis board. Religion is something that is individual I think. But I will say Venus and Serena both are Jehovah's Witnesses. And they are playing a sport so what so you want them to wear? A nun's habit?

When Serena won the US Open in 1999 Richard predicted that Venus would win 2 Slams next year and Hingis said she would win the Grand Slam next year.

However, he also predicted that Serena would "kick her ass coming and going" when she took on Martina at the Acura Classic in 1998. Hingis won 6-4,6-1.

He also predicted that all Venus had to do to win was "show up" at the TIG Tennis Classic when she played Martina Hingis in the 1999 final. Apparently, she didn't. Hingis won 6-4,6-0.

He also predicted an all-Williams final at the 1999 US Open. Again, Hingis proved him wrong.

Not everything....but close enough!!!

FUCK YOU, SEWTA.

he was joking when he said those things. he also said he was "talking with some Japanese people" about buying the Rockafellar Plaza. Did you take those comments seriously?

He wasn't joking about the "All-Williams final in 1999 at the US Open".

And joking or serious, he did predict it didn't he?

Anton: I see. We're supposed to take everything Richard predicted that has come true as him being psychic, while disregarding his many wrong predictions and insulting comments as jokes? I get ya.

I think Richard will like this game.

It is probably not worth it to continue this ...
However, there is a big difference between a cat suit and a nun's outfit. Also, the magazine fashion layouts are hardly representing tennis clothing!
I enjoy and support their tennis (note I did not say I am a fan---that seems to describe a person and attitudes I would rather not be or have). It's just that I don't like when religion is thrown into these things, often times it seems, inappropriately and without sufficient thought.

He just has a lot of confidence in his daughters. There's nothing wrong with that

Hello! Why do people rush to put down certain players? Melanie Molitar has made some inapproiate statments so why do you rush to Richard?

And nobody wears robes and sheets anymore. This is 2002, ok?

I never said it's wrong. He has every reason to have a lot of confidence in his daughters. However, I was just pointing out some of his predictions which did not come true.

Melanie Molitar predicted that Steffi Graf was "physically spent" but who beat who in the 1999 French Open and who was booed off the court?
