Arthur Ashe Kids Day Canceled Due To Inclement Weather
.. due to inclement weather
(As of 11:30 a.m. ET) Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day Canceled
In light of the current forecast regarding Hurricane Irene and in order to avoid any possible safety issues for our fans and patrons, many of whom would have been arriving on-site with young children, the USTA is canceling Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day. This decision also follows discussions held between the USTA and New York City officials. The event was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This cancellation covers both the free grounds activities scheduled for the morning and the ticketed Stadium show that was scheduled for 1-3 p.m. The USTA’s inclement weather policy for Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day will be in effect and can be viewed at www.arthurashekidsday.com.
CBS plans to air a highlights show featuring the best of previous Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day performances along with select pre-taped elements from 2011. The program is scheduled to air Sunday, August 28, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. ET.
Re: Arthur Ashe Kids Day Canceled Due To Inclement Weather
Good, I don't like kids nor pathetic celebrities who are about 60 times worse than me at playing tennis
The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
