Question Ana...Ana...what?!

Hey guyz, i have an extremely important question: How the hell do you pronounce Myskina's first name? I've heard it several different ways and i think i should know how to pronounce one of my favorite's name ( at the loss today). Thanx in advance!

I'm pretty sure that's the Americanized pronunciation. sort of like the way Ivan is always pronounced EYE - vun when it's supposted to be pronounced ee-VAHN

I'm guessing that her name is pronounced

ah-nah-STAH-see-yah

Yes, exactly. I had the occasion to talk to her recently, and she confirmed above.
By the way, she told me about the times, when she lived with her parents in Moscow, when her mom got phone calls for "ANNA", she used to reply "there is no ANNA living here", as her nick name is Nastja ( nast - yah ). Nastja lives in London now with her boyfriend.

Click below on PHOTOS to see my off court photos of Nastja .....

Anastasia was probably named after the legendary russian princess in the 1910s...so the americans pronounce her name as they would the 1998 animated movie - Anastasia
