Scheduling: Stanford needs to be moved up a week after wimby!

Tennis has been ridiculous these last couple weeks. The three weeks following wimby are usually so dead. Wouldn't be logicla to move Stanford up a week, create a week between Toronto/Cincinnati so we can all have fun. Both the wta/atp suffered because of that. I know it has been talked about to death but NH happens whilst all we are really doing is waiting for the uso! Perhaps that should be in the week between toronto/cin.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

The USO series is just a joke. No one cares about it, especially toward the end when everyone is tired and resting for the USO. I just wish there were more clay and grass tournaments and fewer HC tournaments. Moving Stanford up would be a good move, though.

Agreed. It is a bit of a joke, the USO Series... However, I do enjoy it. Maybe it's because the matches aren't at times that are hard for me to keep up with, because I do live in the US, so it's a nice change for me at least.

Well next year, it is immediately after Wimbledon because of the Olympics. Then San Diego, then a week off, then Olympics, Montreal, Cincy, New Haven. So it will be packed. All of this will probably kill WTT next year too.

No more clay tournaments please! Both tours need more grass events

Of course. But clay still > HC. And streaming for most clay events > streaming at the USO Series.

What would that do to the post- Wimbledon MM season though?

Sounds good to me.

I'm from the US, and I actually prefer watching tennis over seas because I love staying up watching matches instead of just watching them conveniently.

Next year will be a mess.

No one will want to play before the Olympics and most will probably skip Montreal (as usual).

Omg is Cincinnati in the same week as the Olympics like in 2000, 2004 and 2008?

I used to love to do that, too. Maybe soon again I can, but I haven't been able to as of late due to finishing college. That's all I meant. International matches are far more entertaining, for sure. I like to (humor me, I'm a bit of a dork) look at the surroundings of the court and try and imagine what it's like there, and what the said host city is like. I've never been able to travel overseas... Ever. I'm hoping now that I am finally done with school that I can go see some matches.

That will never happen. You don't have to water and/or mow hard courts.

Whoa what's with the hate on the US Open series. It's one of the best parts of the year. Along with the clay season, it's a string of cohesive, well run, well respected events.
