Martina Muller retired

http://www.wtatennis.com/page/OffCou...424053,00.html

Officially...She got married at this weekend and last year she became a mother

She was known for her love for ITF tournaments and reached highest ranking of 33 in singes (47 in doubles), what is definitely great, because honestly, as much as I like her, her actual level in singles wasn´t often even near this places. However, MM still won one MM in Budapest in 2002 and also was RU in Palermo 2007...Of course we can´t forget 10 titles on ITF level Also won one doubles title in Hertogenbosch (4 other WTA finals) and again 10 titles from ITFs. Her career had many significant falls and comebacks and after the last one she decided to have a family and left tennis.

Have a nice life Martina

I´m counting those Who cares? comments and similar garbage posts from ignorant people, trolls and gloryhunters as there are always people who shamelessly post very useful posts to every retirement thread of player who never reach TOP 20 at least. Also she had many haters so I give a chance to bash her once again...for the last time hopefully.

Re: Martina Muller retired

I thought she retired ages ago!
Anyways, good luck to her. She looks very happy in that photo.

Re: Martina Muller retired

Didn't she retire a lifetime ago?

It was on the WTA-homepage today!

Re: Martina Muller retired

No, she announced it just now I believe, she was uncertain in her previous interwievs. I think she even wanted to come back at least a bit after she gave a birth. At least from what I´ve read.

Re: Martina Muller retired

For everyone who missed her interesting service motion and shotmaking and also her epic face expression...that point at 0:30
Yeah, the talent was there a bit, despite having a strange shots the arms and hands was moving actaully clear, I always liked the way how she was hitting, but there was still something missing.

Re: Martina Muller retired

I found just this one and the one when she was crushed by Szavay in Palermo final so I decided to put the better of these two

Re: Martina Muller retired

She was still active?

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
