Is Kim the greatest blue court player ever?

She has won 4 slams on blue courts, more than anyone else in the history of tennis. The only Slam match she lost on a blue court was against Nadia Petrova, when she clearly had an off day. Many saw her as a favourite to win that slam.

The closest person to come to her accomplishments is Serena, with 3 slams, but she has lost a whopping 5 slam matches on the colour.

There's something about the Colour Blue that brings out the inner peace in Kim, and we know that Saint Kim at her most serene is unbeatable. It's no surprise that Aussie Kim finally fulfilled her destiny after 2008 (when AO ushered in the two-toned blue Plexicushion), that the year the US Open went blue was the year Kim won her first slam of many, that Kim's first big final was on the indigoes of Indian Wells, or that her breakthrough to the elite ranks of women's tennis was marked by back-to-back wins at the YEC, played back in 02 and 03 on - you guessed it - bright blue courts.

If Kim wins the US Open this year with no preparation, overcoming what must be a career-threatening injury and general lack of motivation, then surely she'll cement her status as the bluecourt GOAT.

USO should go back to the all-green classic hardcourt look.

Right. I suppose Kim would've won the US Open and Australian Open's that she lost in her earlier years had the court been blue.

2002 YEC was played on green courts...not blue.

Thanks for the correction, but it does not change the fact that Kim is amaze and everything you wished your favourite could be, but isn't.

Yes, BlueTrees, yes. In fact, aren't they turning Madrid's clay blue? Time for a new Queen.
