Re: Did Kimiko pull out?

Kimiko and Monica are (along with MJMS) my two favourite players in the draw so I wasn't terribly happy to see them drawn together, but at least I was able to console myself with the thought that "oh well, at least one of them will win a main draw match now." Now I can't even be sure of that and I don't know how serious Kimiko's injury is. Damn.

Kimiko is so unlucky.

Poor Kimiko...
Apparently it is a left hand injury... Quite weird but at least it should not be too serious.... It is just too bad it happened at a tournament where she - finally... - got a rather good draw. We will see very soon if she will be able to play in Dallas next week, but hopefully it is not too worrying.

Re: Did Kimiko pull out?

They should have give Kimiko WC not Ayumi.
Ayumi could get in anyway and Kimiko waited 3days for nothing being LL ALT#1 last week.

To be in Q, 2 weeks in a row is hard for 40yo woman.
US series never gave Kimiko a WC even though she was a champion from 1996 San Diego.
Even WIMBY once gave her...

Re: Did Kimiko pull out?

Still no news about Kimiko's injury, even on her blog that is usually daily updated... This begins to be worrying, moreover she is no more on the players' list for next week Texas Open... What's happening there ???
