Kvitova isn't a Wimbledon champion of the 2000s

Re: Wimbledon Champions

It's not KIvitova, I have no idea why commentators often pronounce it that way. It's not hard to say kv for English speakers, is it?

Another one that gets on my nerves is AnaRIvanovic. Am I the only one who hears these?

Dying Venus

I won my Oscar in the Spring of 1959. I like to think I was the best of the 50s, hell of all time, but each dame earned it, they are all equal.

Helen you've got nothing on this dame and this performance:

Thumbs up Re: Wimbledon Champions

Maria's win in 2004 was the "cinderella story" of the decade...at 17 beating Serena (Miss Amazon) the amazing tale of Uri sacrifacing everything for Maria's tennis lessons and the whole atmosphere it created of electricity and publicity as the story unfolded into a spectacular event!

Re: Wimbledon Champions

Maria's one and only Wimbledon.......right? How long ago was that? A fluke win on a surface surposedly her favorite if u ask me. Since then, Serena and Venus have won how many? I bet u Serena or Venus will win another WB before maria does.

I expect it to be special to ya'll since u know deep down sharapova won't be winning it again.

PS:
Serena won USO at 17 and have repeated on the surface multiple times. U don't see us creating idiotic threads over it

I actually like the R sound the English use to glue together 2 vowels in a row one of which is in the end of the first word, the other is in the beginning of the second

oh, and AnaRIvanovic didn't win Wimbledon

Liz Lemon: Why is this movie called "the Hours" when it feels so much longer? They should call this thing "the Weeks"!

I know. Poor Vivien. Gal never got over that role. Blanche never killed anyone, though, I did have a hard role.
