Martinez Sanchez will be out of Top 80 next week.

Rome queen lost to NaNa Li in the first round of Madrid, losing 900 points coming from the win in Italy.
She will be out of Top 80. Too good she's no more in Top 30, but she cannot be compared to Voracova and other ITF players
Discuss.

She still has Rome to come back in top 30.

Re: Martinez Sanchez will be out of Top 80 next week.

Wasn't she injured in the middle of last year? So not that surprising if more than half of your points are from one tournament...

Because of the new system real slumps or injury breaks become only then visible if you actually come back to old strength again...

Isn't she playing Rome? She very well may be out of to 80, but I would not write her off until she loses points from Rome. I am quite confused with the change of schedules between Rome and Madrid and when which points come of.

The best of luck to all tennis players; The game is on!

Well it's really where she should be ranked . Her Rome title was a fluke and I'm glad that she is finally back where she belongs.

I doubt she will win Rome again if she cannot defeat Li on clay.

She doesn't have to win it, but that doesn't mean she has to lose all of her points and come out with zero

MADRID is worth 1000 points. ROME is NOT. Once again, Hian FAILS.

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Check TBE's ranking thread. She is going to be No.80 when her points fall off next week.

Having said that, it's not as bad as it sounds because the 40-85 range is tightly bunched. A win at a 'MM' event will probably push her back into the mid-50s.
