Improvised / Great Shots by WTA players

We tend to have a lot of fun on this board at WTA players' expense. The thread "awful misses" is a good example, and a few of my youtube clips made that thread. But let's celebrate the players' skills on this ocassion by uploading great moments of improvisation or technical skills by the players. If you have seen any great plays on youtube, upload them here.

I will start with two of my youtube clips

Anything Mary Pierce used to come up with. Anything from a under the legs screamer to a crushing return against Safina in Moscow. That woman was one gifted athlete.

I think this point covers both criteria. Great hands and improvisation by Serena to win here.

Likewise with Strycova's second point.

Kvitova's BH volleys and a great improvised shot against Pennetta.

Hlavackova, Strycova, Venus, Serena, Schiavone, Hradecka, Safarova, Cetkovska, Pliskova, Kasatkina, Putintseva, Ostapenko, Gasparyan

Sam Smith on Hlavackova

6:43, glorious backhand smash. One of the most virtuosic shots to hit in tennis.

10:36. Venus was literally wrong-footed and managed to hit the passing shot almost behind her. Esceptional racquet improvisation.

That Venus corner-to-corner forehand against Sprem some years ago on some clay MUST BE mentioned in this thread

At 8:20.
Kim's volley at 6/6 in the third set tie-break against Henin, Miami 2010. Giving the score, that was a lucky winner. I love how Kim giggle after it and then goes serious again.

Wimbledon champions at work. They don´t make them like that anymore.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.
Please note this is a signature about Tatjana Maria

Re: Improvised / Great Shots by WTA players

Didn't realise Kvitova likes the stop volley so much, very nice.

Seles wasn't afraid to take one hand off the racquet to hit winners when stretched.

Re: Improvised / Great Shots by WTA players

I have to say, I was always fond of Sharapova's Clutch left-handed forehand when pulled out too wide to keep both hands on it. Most of the time she wouldnt get it back in,but I remember a few times she got one heck of a leftie forehand back. Pretty impressive to see her play like that. Hell, if her shoulder problems dont resolve, maybe she can just start practicing to play left-handed, she already kinda has the forehand, hah.
