Second 25k in a row. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Should've got it together sooner though. She's been stinking it up for quite a while now.

Will be interesting to see if Marina gets a WC for the MD at Wimbledon. If she does not, nobody will want to draw her in the qualies thats for sure.

Are there results I am not aware of? Since when was Marina a grass-GOAT?

Nice win Marina

Posters are "awarding" wooden spoons at 25K's ? << That's even more pathetic then the actual "wooden spoon award " <<

Marina It was a bit rough that her stay in the top 100 was cut so short, nice to see her fighting her way back.

Keep it up!

So is this thread about Erakovic or Oudin? Any opportunity to hang shit on Melanie I guess

Well done Marina.

I agree. I hope Mel gets it together soon. I really don't like to see her floundering like this.

Congrats to Erakovic.

Behind you one million percent Vicky D! You will prevail In Jesus Name. Amen.

Oudin gets a wooden spoon on a 25K?

Believe... anything is possible.

This will give Marina such a boost in confidence, back to back tournament wins for the first time in four years

Thank you for everything Mercedes, now please be nice to Socrates for me, perhaps fetch him a bird or two. We love you, always.

In 2008, the one year Marina Erakovic was successful on the WTA tour she did do very well during the grass season and grass has always been her favourite surface.

That year she won Surbiton, made the semis of Birmingham, 2nd round of Hertogenbosch, and 3rd round of Wimbledon. In all she went 14-3 during the grass season that year with wins over Mirza, Shvedova, A. Bondarenko, Krajicek, Goerges, Wickmayer and Wozniak. She also played a very high quality match at Wimbledon in the 3rd round against Tammy Tanasugarn which I saw which she lost 4-6 6-4 6-4. I don't like the term "GOAT" but clearly when this girl is playing well her best surface is going to be grass.

Yes, it is unlikely she will receive a MDWC for Wimbledon but I would be very surprised if she didn't successfully qualify and she is certainly capable of winning 1 or 2 rounds in the MD too.
