Charleston QR1: Stevenson d. Lee-Waters 7-5 6-2

Good win for Lexy She plays Coco Vandeweghe next, whose game does NOT translate well to a clay court, so she's got a shot at qualifying.

Great victory

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

I was at the match today, and I thought Alexandra played quite well. She still has a pretty good serve and forehand. Movement is a big weakness though. Still, she has a good shot to qualify.

Lindsay Hope she's in the doubles draw with Megan

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

What year is this - 1999? A classic matchup
Didn't Lexy have a really good run here one year? I can't remember....
Anyways, she should probably beat Coco and qualify and then who knows what could happen. GL to her still plugging away
