I'm sure we can find some for Ivanovic during her slide.. or even Safina, possibly Venus, etc.

I always wanted to be somebody. If I made it, it's half because I was game enough to take a lot of punishment along the way and half because there were a lot of people who cared enough to help me.

That is indeed horrendous.

What I like about Caroline is that, despite this terrible play, she still pushed the match and made Petkovic work hard for the set.
No other player can make you work like Caroline.

This is probably the only reason Petkovic is winning: all of the unforced errors.
It is a bad day for Caroline, she is never this bad.

Well it's the worst I've seen Caro play since last spring at least

I assure you Venus during her 11 weeks at #1 never had stats like that.

Doubtful. Ana would go for broke when she started losing and hit some outrageous winners while also hitting a string of unforced errors, so it would make more sense if winners-UE was 12-24 for Ana in a set.

Waiting for Ana Ivanovic to just retire already .
Justine Henin. Amelie Mauresmo. Francesca Schiavone.

You are correct. I forgot she was #1 during that stretch in 2002 when she was actually pretty solid and consistent
