Vera Zvonareva will bounce back and win Miami 2011

Why do I say that? Firstly, she will be riding on confidence from her win in Doha recently by beating Pushniacki in the final. She displayed terrific tennis in that tournament and will probably bring that over this week. And as we all know, when Vera Zvonareva is at her best, she is unbeatable.

Next, she has a cakewalk draw to the semis, where she could potentially face Clijsters. However, Clijsters is coming back from a 1 month break and will be rusty, losing early just like last year. Hence, Zvonareva is virtually a lock for the final where she would surely win unless Stosur or Pushnetta is on the other side of the net. She also knows what it takes to win this tournament as she has done it before.

So in summary, Zvonareva will be the Indian Wells champion this year. Just give the trophy to her already. You all heard it here first!

Vera has a chance. Caro & Kim have won everything above Tier 2 since Wimbledon. That cant last forever.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!

Re: Vera Zvonareva will win Indian Wells 2011

She is also my favourite to win it (though not the one I hope for, obviously).

But could you please stop calling her "pushniacki". It's getting really old, and kind of ruins your otherwise good post. Pushnetta doesn't help, either.

because you're a zvonareva fan, that's why.

it always makes me laugh when fans of vera use the word "push" to insult other players.

I think she could but I wouldnt bet on it. It isnt like her to win alot of tournaments in a year, especialy back to back with top quality players.

Re: Vera Zvonareva will win Indian Wells 2011

Sam Stosur would thrash her any day of the year, she totally owns Vera

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
