IW Q1: (4) Johansson d. (WC) Hardebeck 46 75 63

Mathilde A win is a win. Almost 3 hours. She was down 64 42 I want to say?

And she's only 16 but IMO Hardebeck's game is fugly. Especially her serve motion. Good fight from her I guess.

And the dish ran away with the spoon..
but Hawaii was the only state that would recognize the marriage as legal.

IW, QR1: Mathilde Johansson def. (WC)Krista Hardebeck 4:6, 7:5, 6:3

Another GOAT match

Hardebeck choked, was set and break up, Johansson couldn´t break her serve (she was 3/13 on break points in second set). but somehow she won...breakfest in third, 36 BP´s between them in this match, 18 DF´s

Hardebeck is excellent. her strokes may not look awesome but they are hit flat and clean

Agreed. She has a very unorthodox game, but it works and she's a good, aggressive player. The serve just needs to be improved.

I honestly had no idea Johansson was ranked so high!

She almost lost to this?

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
