Monterrey R2: Pavs d. Oudin 62 76(6)

Remember when Oudin crushed Nastya in R1 USO 09? Nastya is so much better now.

And the dish ran away with the spoon..
but Hawaii was the only state that would recognize the marriage as legal.

Mel That's three comebacks blown this year. Really close there. I feel like this tight loss might give her some confidence going into the IW, Miami swing. I'm hoping at least.

Serena Williams ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Venus Williams ~ Jelena Dokic ~ Melanie Oudin ~ Christina McHale

Vandeweghe ~ Mattek-Sands ~ King ~ Hampton ~ Riske ~ Glatch ~ Brengle ~ Rogers ~ Stephens ~ Boserup ~ Davis ~ Keys ~ Lepchenko ~ Falconi ~ Chirico ~ Crawford ~ Gibbs ~ Pegula ~ Min ~ Townsend ~ Duval ~ Vickery ~ Bellis ~ Ahn

Not worse. Just less confident. I actually think in terms of all around gameplay, she is a more complete. She actually was hitting solid backhands out there. No slices. The serve just needs an overhaul.

But if you notice, she got really tight in big moments and made easy errors. Also just spun a first serve in on match point. She needs to go back to going for her shots in the big moments.

caught the 2nd set. Neither player was impressive tonight Oudin is still in horrible form, while Pavlyuchenkova is still slow and careless at times with her shot selection.

No she definitely got worse overall. She actually looked like a WTA player back then. In 09 Wimbledon-US Open her serve/forehand was a lot better, her slices were decent. Now it does absolutely nothing against anyone.

Ummm I've never heard of a loss giving someone confidence especially against someone you had hammered in the only previous match-up.

I like Oudin. A lot. But there's no point trying to make excuses anymore maybe she will find her form, many players have managed to achieve similar feats, but her results have been so shittastic for so long now there's no point waiting for it anymore and I'm looking towards other players now. At this point, even if she does find some form I don't see Melanie being better than someone like Vesnina.

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizé Cornet

Or Mel has gone somewhat downhill since then? And it was a 5-2 lead

Well I mean, I was thinking it would give her some confidence too. She hasn't had the best results as of late and this tight loss to a top 20 player is good for her IMO.

USO 2009 maybe Nastya's the worst moment in her career.Normal-Nastya will beat Normal-Melanie for sure.
